Infrared Fever Screening System (IFssTM)
We are the first in Singapore to produce the Infrared Fever Screening System (IFssTM) for mass fever screening in the various checkpoints, hospitals, public and private institutions.
When SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) hit Singapore in March 2003. MOH (Ministry of Health) commissioned DTSA (Defence Science Technology Agency) and ST Electronics for a mass fever screening system. Together we harnessed the power of leading-edge thermal imaging electro-optics technology and developed the world's first non-invasive Infrared Fever Screening System. The latest evolution, the PIFSS is now more compact to enhance portability and provides rapid, real-time mass screening of human traffic to identify those with high fever, one of the primary and initial symptoms of SARS, Avian Flu (Bird Flu) and Dengue.
